Occasionally, Websafe will not be triggered, even though the correct subject line was used. Instead, the system will use a different encryption method, which is available.


Websafe is intended as an encryption alternative, if the communication partner cannot use any other form of encryption. If the counter-part us able to use any more advanced encryption method (PGP, TLS or S/MIME), the system will automatically use those encryption methods instead of sending the message via Websafe.


This is expected behavior, but Hornetsecurity is working on improving the documentation from within the Control Panel. If you encounter this behavior, check from the Control Panel under “Workspace” whether the email was sent with an different encryption method.
