If you try to download your archive export from the Aeternum Export Manager with certain browsers, the following problem may occur:
The browser tries to open the .pst file directly instead of downloading it as desired.
This can be avoided by starting the download of the archive via a download manager of your choice. To do this, proceed as follows:
- Log in to the Export Manager. (see Logging into the Export Manager)
- Click on ‘Tasks’ at the top right of the Export Manager. (The ‘Tasks’ window opens)
- From the table, select the export task whose export results you want to download.
- Click on ‘Download’ in the line of the export task. (The download button is only visible if the download has the status ‘Done’. This can be seen in the ‘Status’ column)
- A window opens to download the export results. Here you can see the individual files of the export. (.pst files of the individual archived mailboxes)
- Click on ‘All links’. A text file with all links to the respective files will now be generated and made available for download.
- Save the text file and open it in a download manager of your choice.
- Set the download task of your download manager so that the user name from the Basic Auth User Name field and the password from the Basic Auth Password field are used as access data for downloading the files.
- Download the export files with your download manager.
The export task data has now been downloaded for all users. You can then delete the export task. (see Deleting an Export Task)
