This article explains which webmailers Hornetsecurity provides and what you need to consider when logging in.
Hornetsecurity provides two different webmailers for different use cases:
| Webmailer | Purpose | Address |
|---|---|---|
| hornet.email Webmailer | Access to hornet.email mailboxes | https://hornet.email/SOGo/ |
| Continuity Service Webmailer | Access to emails during an outage and during the subsequent archiving period of the Continuity Service | https://webmailer.hornetsecurity.com/ |
Logging in to the hornet.email Webmailer
You can access the hornet.email Webmailer at:
https://hornet.email/SOGo/The hornet.email Webmailer is intended for users with a hornet.email mailbox.
Users can log in there with their hornet.email credentials.
Logging in to the Continuity Service Webmailer
You can access the Continuity Service Webmailer at:
https://webmailer.hornetsecurity.com/The Continuity Service Webmailer is available when the Continuity Service is enabled for the customer.
Users can access their emails through the Continuity Service Webmailer throughout the entire outage. Access is also possible during the subsequent archiving period of the Continuity Service.
If a user was synchronized via Microsoft 365 or LDAP, the user must first log in to the Control Panel once.
This initial login is necessary to correctly link the user to the Continuity Service Webmailer.
Only after that can the user log in to the Continuity Service Webmailer.
Waiting period after creating a user or changing a password
After creating a user or changing a password, it can take up to 30 minutes for the change to be deployed to all Hornetsecurity servers.
During this time, it may not yet be possible to log in to the Webmailer, or the new password may not yet be accepted.
