This article explains how to prepare your Active Directory for automatic LDAP synchronization. It shows the required format for the Custom Field and lists all allowed values for language and position.
Overview: What Is Synchronized
For LDAP synchronization, the Security Awareness Service reads a single Custom Field from your Active Directory.
This field must contain each user's language and position in a defined format so that the assignment in the Security Awareness Service works correctly.
Custom Field Format
The expected format is:
sas_language=<language code>;sas_position=<position>
Example:
sas_language=de_DE;sas_position=CEO
Important notes:
- Both values must be written exactly as shown in the lists below
- Only one Custom Field is read per user.
- A position can be assigned to multiple people simultaneously.
- Capitalization must be observed.
