If you have forgotten the password for your Websafe mailbox, you can reset it at any time.
The password reset process also includes options for users who did not provide a phone number during registration. In this case, please note that you will need the support of your communication partner (the sender of the Websafe emails).
How to reset your password:
Go to the Websafe login page at https://websafe.hornetsecurity.com/ and click on “Forgot Password”.
Enter the email address associated with your Websafe mailbox.
You will receive an automatic email with a link to reset your password. Click on this link to proceed.
From here on the path changes depending on if you already provided a phone number, want to change an existing phone number, or you didn't provided any phone number when you set up websafe before.
Important: The provided phone number has to be able to recieve SMS-Messages!
If you provided a phone number during registration and it is still valid, click “Send” to receive a PIN via SMS.
You will receive a PIN via SMS. Enter it and click “Next”.
Change a already provided phone number
If your phone number is no longer valid, click “I have a new phone number”.
Answer your security question and click “Next”.
Enter your new phone number and confirm it by clicking “Next”.
You will receive a PIN via SMS. Enter it and click “Next”.
Reset without phone number
The PIN will be sent to your communication partner (the sender of the Websafe email).
Request the PIN from your communication partner and enter it. Click “Next”.
Set a new password and confirm it by clicking “Next”.
Your Websafe password has been successfully reset.
