It is possible that emails will not be forwarded to Continuity right after enabling the service. Instead, you might experience that the service is still trying to deliver the email to the unavailable email server.
This behavior might be encountered right after enabling the service. For Continuity to work, it will need to be distributed to all of our Gates, which can take up to 60 minutes. This delay needs to be taken into effect when planning to book the service.
Also, Continuity is a service only affecting any new incoming emails. Emails already being deferred when enabling the service, will not be forwarded to Continuity. Those emails will be delivered, once the service becomes available again, or will be finally declined after 24 hours with the sender receiving a Non-Delivery Report (NDR), informing them that delivery has failed.
