When a site is in violation of it's assigned policy, that site can be audited. To do so, browse to the Explore Sites module, scroll to the site you wish to audit and click the "Audit" button on the right of the policy name:
Step 1: Overview. A site auditing wizard will then be launched, which will first show you an overview of all the current policy violations that were detected on that site, then move on to auditing each of the two violation types:
Step 2: Site & Group violations detected will be listed for review, and for each violation you are given the option to either:
- Revert the violation to be in line with the policy applied, or
- Approve the violation and acknowledge it
Step 3: Item Access violations detected will be listed for review, and for each item (or in bulk using the checkboxes to the left of each item) you are given the option to either:
- Reject the changes and remove user access, or
- Approve the changes
To view more detailed information about the access permissions of the affected item, click on the 'Permissions' icon to the right of the compliance state in the row of a violation. Doing so will popup a new panel with information about sharing links, administrators, owners and users with different access permissions (Can View, Can Edit, etc.)
Note: All actions and changes made will be audit logged and viewable in the Activity Log, along with the details of the user account that performed the action.
The last page of the wizard will show a summary of all actions performed before closing the wizard.
