This article explains the requirements that must be observed when sending bulk mailings via Hornetsecurity.
Hornetsecurity allows the sending of bulk mailings as long as the messages sent are not spam or malicious content.
If you want to send newsletters, please also observe the requirements for sending newsletters.
Requirements
For sending bulk mailings, the relay server from the Hornetsecurity onboarding website must be used.
Sending Limits
Please adhere to the following limits when sending bulk mailings:
- a maximum of 20 connections per minute per relay server
- a maximum of 10 emails per minute per connection
Due to varying load balancing, a maximum throughput of 3,600 emails per minute should not be exceeded.
Also, avoid sending only one email per connection.
Restrictions with High Sending Volume
Hornetsecurity reserves the right to temporarily throttle the sending rate if other customers are affected by the sending.
Sending may be blocked without prior notice if a risk or threat is detected due to the bulk mailing.
Announce Planned Bulk Mailing
To avoid delays or blocks, you can inform Hornetsecurity of a planned bulk mailing in advance via email or phone.
