How can I change the primary domain in the Control Panel?
The primary domain is the main domain of your Control Panel. It is set during onboarding and forms the basis of the entire configuration.
Can the primary domain be changed?
No. The name of the primary domain cannot be changed afterwards in the Control Panel.
The primary domain is closely linked to file structures, databases, configuration settings, and other resources. Changing it would require a comprehensive and complex restructuring of the entire configuration, which could lead to interruptions, data loss, and other technical problems.
What does this mean specifically?
Since the name of the primary domain is firmly connected to the environment, it cannot be renamed. If a different primary domain is needed, the only way is to delete the existing object and create a new one with the desired primary domain.
