PROBLEM

Upon attempting a Boot from Backup on a Hyper-V machine, you encounter the following error:

CAUSE

The Microsoft iSCSI Initiator Service is not running on the machine we're attempting to boot to.

SOLUTION

Open services.msc on the machine you're attempting to boot to and then start the "Microsoft iSCSI Initiator Service". Retry the Boot from Backup operation again.
