Hornetsecurity offers the possibility to display quarantined e-mails bundled in a quarantine report and to either send it to the original recipient of the e-mail or to send a summary report to a defined e-mail address.
All settings regarding the spam filter are done via the control panel. For more information on the Quarantine Report, please refer to the Control Panel manual.
In the HTML Control Panel, the Quarantine Report is automatically customized based on the information you have entered into the Whitelabeling module in the HTML Control Panel. If you use or plan to continue using customized quarantine reports, enter your information in the Whitelabeling module.
Setup:
The quarantine report is part of the spam filter service and is offered at no additional cost. The service is activated in the control panel under Security Settings > Quarantine Report.
The quarantine report is only triggered if the following points are met:
- The user has new emails since the last quarantine report that were stored in the quarantine
- The intercepted emails correspond to an active category in the quarantine report
- The user is stored in the control panel
- The user is active in the control panel
The Quarantine Report always contains all the emails stored in the quarantine that have arrived since the last Quarantine Report. Only activated users receive a quarantine report.
User-Based delivery times:
To set up user-based delivery times, the corresponding option must be activated. To do this, navigate to the global settings for the quarantine report under Security Settings > Quarantine Report. Below the delivery times you will find the option "Allow users to set delivery times for their own quarantine reports". Activate this by clicking on the corresponding button.
Every user who now logs in to the Control Panel can adjust the delivery times under the user settings.
The different settings can also be configured centrally by the administrator. These settings are configured centrally for the individual mailboxes under Customer Settings> Mailboxes> Quarantine Report.
Collective reports:
If you do not want the individual recipients to receive a quarantine report, you can have a summary report sent to an e-mail address of your choice. Please note that the collective report overwrites the individual quarantine reports. It is not possible to receive a summary report and an individual quarantine report by activating this option.
Languages:
Hornetsecurity offers the spam reports in different languages. Which language the quarantine report has depends the stored language of the user in the Control Panel.
Language settings are inherited:
- Settings for Partner Accounts inherit their settings to Domains and Users as long as they have not configured their own settings
- Examples:
- Partner language is English
- Customer is than English too
- User aswell is English
- Customer is than English too
- Partner Language is English
- Customer language is Spanish
- User Language is than spanish aswell
- Customer language is Spanish
- Partner Language is English
- Customer language is than English too
- User changed Language to spanish, it's now in spanish for this user only
- Customer language is than English too
- Partner language is English
