Hornetsecurity offers the option of displaying filtered or quarantined emails together in a quarantine report. These are either delivered to the original recipient of the email or sent as a summary report to a defined email address.
Activation
The Quarantine Report is triggered only if the following conditions are met:
- The user has received new emails since the last Quarantine Report that were stored in quarantine
- The filtered emails correspond to one of the active email types in the Quarantine Report
- The user is registered in the Control Panel
- The user is active in the Control Panel
- The Quarantine Report has been activated for the entire domain under Email Security > Spam & Malware Protection > Quarantine Report
Generate a summary report for the entire domain
You can have a summary report sent to an email address of your choice if individual recipients should not receive a Quarantine Report.
Please note that the summary report overrides the individual Quarantine Report. After activation, it is not possible to receive both a summary report and an individual Quarantine Report.
Display email types in the Quarantine Report
You can include or exclude the following email types in the Quarantine Report:
- Info mail
- Spam
- Threat and AdvThreat
- Content

You can choose from various layouts for the Quarantine Report.

Delivery times
You can adjust the delivery times for all users.
Alternatively, you can activate the option "Allow users to set the delivery times for their own quarantine reports".
Any user who can now log in to the Control Panel can adjust the delivery times in the user settings.
The delivery times for individual users can also be centrally configured by the administrator. These settings are configured centrally for the individual mailboxes under Customer Settings > Mailboxes > Quarantine Report .
Language
Hornetsecurity offers Quarantine Reports in the following languages:
- German
- English
- Spanish
- French
In general, language settings are inherited. This means that settings at the partner level are inherited by customer objects and users unless they have configured their own settings.
Examples:
- Partner language is set to English
- Customer language is then also set to English
- User language is also set to English
- Customer language is then also set to English
- Partner language is set to English
- Customer language was changed to Spanish
- User language is then set to Spanish
- Customer language was changed to Spanish
- Partner language is set to English
- Customer language is also set to English
- User changed their language to Spanish; only their report is in Spanish
- Customer language is also set to English
