Yes, the quarantine report by default adopts the language from the parent account setting in the Control Panel, but it can be individually overridden at the domain or user level.
How inheritance works
The language is based on the globally configured language of a partner, customer, or user account. If a language is configured at the partner level, it is initially inherited by all associated customers and users.
An example to illustrate:
- The partner account is globally set to English.
- For a specific domain (customer), the language is changed to German – this setting then applies to all users of this domain.
- However, an individual user of this domain prefers French and changes their language individually accordingly.
In this case, exactly this user receives their quarantine report in French, while all other users of the domain continue to receive it in German, regardless of the original English partner setting.
Override language
You can override the inherited language in three places:
- Domain level (customer): Set language at the domain level – then applies to all mailboxes of the customer object.
- User level: Set language at the user level – the user changes their language here themselves in the User Panel.
- Admin setting for individual mailboxes: Set language for a single mailbox – an admin can specifically change the language for a single mailbox without the user having to take action themselves.
