How can the Control Panel password be reset?

How you reset your password depends on how you sign in to the Control Panel. Select the appropriate sign-in method below.

Standard login

If you need to reset the password for your Control Panel login, you can request an automated email from the login window.

To do this, first enter your username. Only then will the reset link appear directly below the password field. It is easy to overlook because it is not displayed until a username has been entered.

Once you select the link and confirm the reset, you will receive an email with further instructions. Open the link it contains and set a new password.

M365 login

If you authenticate to the Control Panel through M365, resetting your password through this form is not possible.

In this case, contact your administrator or IT support, or follow your internal guidelines for resetting your M365 login. First, check whether the problem actually affects your M365 login in general and is not limited to the Control Panel.
