The Microsoft Partner Center is a requirement to make use of 365 Tenant Manager.
When initiating 365 Tenant Manager, the first step is to add a connection to the MPC. This will allow you to manage your tenants using 365 Tenant Manager. During the setup, you will be able to select to either 'Activate automatically' or 'Active manually'.
To connect the MPC, follow the steps below:
- Using administrative credentials, log into the Control Panel and select the partner within the scope selection
- Navigate to the [Service Dashboard] and select the [Microsoft Partner Center] tab and select [Add Connection]
- Select one or more administrator accounts and enter a name for the Microsoft Partner Center:
- Select to either [Activate automatically] or [Activate manually] and tick the check box to proceed.
[Activate automatically] All Microsoft 365 tenants in your MSP account will be automatically onboarded and therefore included in your billing contract. You may benefit from discounts when onboarded tenants automatically, you can check with your sales representative in order to get more information.
[Activate manually] Tenants must be selected and onboarded manually.
- After clicking Next, you will be redirected to the MPC to login using your administrator account in order to grant access
- Confirm the configuration through the Summary and click Finish
- You can check the [Tenants] screen in order if the tenant has finished onboarding, or you can also manually onboard the tenant
