Assigning a standalone policy must be done through the tenant scope. To access the tenant scope, you can either search the tenant name with the Scope search or browse to [365 Tenant Manager] > [Tenants] and click on the highlighted Scope icon underneath the tenant's name.
To assign a standalone policy, follow the steps below:
- Navigate to the [Policies] tab and click on [Assign standalone policy]
- Enter a policy name or keyword in the search bar and tick the circle next to the policy name
Note: You can only select one policy at a time. If you want to assign more policy, you
must repeat all steps for each policy. - To change the assignment of the policy to specific users or groups, click on [Manage assignment]
- In the top right corner of the screen, select the enforcement by toggling the [Enforcement] switch:
Notify: The policy will be checked on the tenant and the compliance state will be shown in the 'Policies' module of the tenant
Enforce: The policy will be enforced on the tenant - Lastly, click [Assign] and the standalone policy will be assigned to the tenant
