What is Certificate Pinning?

Certificate Pinning involves permanently storing a specific certificate as trusted. Specifically, this means that only this one certificate is trusted, or only a certificate signed by a particular other certificate. All other certificates are rejected, even if they are technically valid.

When do you need to take action?

• You do not use Certificate Pinning: You do not need to take any action. A change to our TLS certificates will have no impact on you.
• You use Certificate Pinning: In this case, a change to our TLS certificates may cause the connection to fail because the new certificate does not match the pinned certificate. Please check in advance whether an adjustment to your configuration is necessary.
