- Restore notebooks to the original OneNote - The backed up notebooks will be restored to their original group
If you cannot locate the restored OneNote Notebook in the chosen Restore Destination Folder, make sure to check the default 'Notebooks' folder, as the content may have been restored there as a safety measure.
Please note that Group OneNotes cannot be restored to a User Onenote or viceversa.
Users' OneNotes can only be restored to Users' OneNotes, and Groups' OneNotes can only be restored to Groups' OneNotes.
In order to bypass this limitation, one would need to Restore the OneNote to ZIP and then import it within the desired Group/Users' OneNote directly.
