MSPs now have the ability to manage the new self-service recovery feature for their own Managed End-Users.
The end user self-service feature [Recover M365 data] is enabled by default for all M365 organizations onboarded through the Control Panel.
If you have the necessary administrative rights within the MSP account and want to enabled or disable this feature for the managed End-Users, follow the steps below:
- Browse to the Control Panel and scope to the customer level
- From the left pane, browse to Customization > User Panel and enable [Recover M365 Data]
The end-user will then be able to log into their [User Panel] page and select [Recover M365 Data] to recover any of their M365 Data.
End users will have access to a narrowed down version of 365 Total Backup, that would only allow them to granularly restore their own backed up data from Mailbox, OneDrive and OneNote directly to the original location.
